À propos de l'événement
Textile recycling refers both to the design process and to the management of the end-of-life of fashion products. On the creative side, it is rooted in an upcycling approach that aims to recycle existing garments or fabrics by giving them a second life. To support this approach, solutions exist that allow brands to recover deadstock from major luxury houses.
On the end-of-life side, recycling must be considered upstream, at the design stage. It relates to material composition, thread count, and above all, the ability to disassemble the garment.
In theory, everything can be recycled, especially in the textile industry. In practice, large-scale recycling is a highly technical process that requires a dedicated system across the entire value chain. It is a standalone industry that demands financial resources and specialized expertise.
We explain everything you need to embed a recycling approach both in product creation and in end-of-life management.
