THE IMPACT OF MATERIALS

The materials you use do not only have an environmental impact during production and at end-of-life, but also during their use phase. What are the impacts linked to the use of different materials (microplastics, organic micro-particles in the air, etc.)? How can these be addressed from the user side with current solutions? It is important to support users in caring for their garments in order to reduce the impact generated during use.

Here are the questions we will address:

- Analyse the impact of your materials on several levels: process (all stages), washing, use, end of life

 - Current solutions to address these different impacts

 - Implement solutions with your suppliers regarding your materials

 - The environmental impact of recycled synthetic materials during manufacturing, use, and after use

 - The environmental impact of natural and artificial materials during manufacturing, use, and after use

 - Implement upstream solutions to reduce the impact of your garments in production

 - Help your community care for their clothes to reduce impact during use
