À propos de l'événement
Hemp is a naturally technical material and an alternative to resource-intensive natural fibers. It exists both as an artisanal and an innovative material. Its production, traceability, and circularity make it a strong candidate for more sustainable textile systems. What are its technical and creative possibilities, and for which applications? What is its environmental impact? How should this material be communicated?
Here are the questions we will address:
- Hemp: its environmental and social impact - The stages of producing hemp fabric from raw material - The constraints and advantages of hemp in textile applications - Hemp in technical materials and artisanal techniques - Creativity with hemp: presentation of innovative materials - Scaling the use of hemp in the textile industry - Developing a hemp-based project: constraints and advantages - Certifications related to hemp - Traceability challenges - How to communicate the trade-offs and benefits of this material in your messaging
