Invited by LA CASERNE, Anne-Laure Buffard Inc. is pleased to present Climb and Pause, the first duo exhibition in France by sisters Park Chae Biole and Park Chae Dalle, specifically conceived for the venue.
Born in 1997 and living and working between France and South Korea, the twin sisters Biole and Dalle Park practice painting, poetic writing, knitting, and sculpture, unfolding two distinct yet resonant artistic universes.
For this first duo show in France following their joint exhibition in Seoul in 2021, Park Chae Dalle and Park Chae Biole present Climb and Pause, a visual journey through the spectacular spaces of the oldest fire station in Paris. From May 31 to June 9, 2022, they take over its courtyard, one of its galleries, and its two majestic staircases.
Meticulous and whimsical, Park Chae Biole’s maquettes open a hidden doorway into the artist’s inner world—a mental space made of white walls, miniature landscapes, and delicate clay figurines.…
